Attended the 1st Advisory Council and 30th Annual General Assembly of the East African Communications Organization, hosted by South Sudan’s National Communication Authority in Juba.
I was honored to attend the 1st Advisory Council and 30th Annual General Assembly of the East African Communications Organization, hosted in Juba by the National Communication Authority of South Sudan.
The event was held under the theme “Shaping the Future of the East African Region through Digital Transformation,” bringing together leaders, regulators, stakeholders, and professionals from across the region.
For me, this was more than just a meeting. It was a meaningful moment of regional unity, innovation, and transformation.
Being part of this space gave me a broader view of how communication, digital policy, infrastructure, regulation, and technology development are connected to the future of East Africa.
It was also inspiring to see South Sudan hosting such an important regional gathering, creating space for conversations around digital transformation and the role of communication institutions in shaping a more connected future.
As someone passionate about creative technology and digital platforms, attending this event helped me better understand the bigger ecosystem that supports innovation, access, and digital growth.
Experiences like this continue to shape how I think about building digital products, supporting young people, and contributing to South Sudan’s growing technology space.
